An Afternoon and Writing Workshop with Tara Marlow

Saturday 24 August, 1 – 5pm

Cost $45.00 Per Person

This workshop is a unique opportunity to unlock the power of your personal journeys and discover the writer within you. If you have attended one of Tara’s workshops before there will be an opportunity to renew your inspiration from her previous workshop.

The afternoon will begin with an opportunity to hear Tara’s own story in an interview with MC and host Sharise Watson. A transformative and hands on two-hour writing workshop will then cover essential aspects of storytelling, from capturing the essence of your travel experiences, to finding your unique voice. Whether you’re an experienced writer or blogger or a novice, the workshop is a chance to explore the profound impact of your travel experience, based on examples drawn from Tara’s experience of the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Drawing upon her expertise and heartfelt passion for the Camino, Tara will guide you through the intricacies of crafting your own creative journey, enabling you to express your travel experiences in an inspiring and meaningful way.

Light Refreshments will be provided.

The Blue Labrinyth Retreat is an eco-retreat for ‘pilgrims, peace and permaculture’ on a bush property at 30 Park Rd Woodford, about 1.8 km from Woodford Station. The workshop includes the opportunity to walk one of the labyrinths on this beautiful and special property.

Tara Marlow

Born in Sydney, Australia, Tara spent twenty of her early adult years living in the United States. When she ditched the corporate desk in 2011, she focused on photography and learning the business of blogging. When her nest emptied in 2017, she travelled full-time for three years, as a travel writer and photographer. Today, Tara lives in southern Tasmania with her husband, where she focuses on writing women’s fiction and suspense novels.

We are thrilled to have Tara back with us in the Blue Mountains to share her passion for writing and love of the Camino.

Sharise Watson

I attended Tara’s Write your Camino workshop in November last year, at our Camino Celebration. I was then preparing for my own Camino in early 2024. The workshop was inspiring and gave me an opportunity to think about my Camino and how I would record my journey. While I was walking the Frances I wrote a blog almost everyday, the writing became an important part of my Camino experience, I loved sharing adventures with family and friends, who laughed and cried just as I did as I walked across Spain, I am looking forward to interviewing Tara during the afternoon and participating in the writing workshop and being inspired all over again!
