A group of eager walkers joined our July Camino training walks at Glenbrook. We had 17 walkers on the Easy walk, 25 on the Medium walk and 30 joining us for the Camino meetup at the Underground cafe.
This month’s medium walk was to Red Hands Caves Glenbrook. The hand prints and stencils are among the best examples of Aboriginal art in the Blue Mountains and are thought to be between 500 and 1600 years old. The easy walkers visited Chalmers and Ross Lookouts, we enjoyed a silent section along the original railway line and visited St Finbar’s Catholic Church.
During our meetup at the Underground Cafe, we shared our fond memories of John Brierley, from meeting him here in the Blue Mountains or Adelaide in 2019 or of using his guides in Spain. John has provided so much inspiration and practical advice it was was lovely to share our happy stories and to remember John. Jacquie and Bruce shared their camino stories both having recently returned from Spain.

Thank you to Ann, Yvonne and Robert for your photos.
